Hey, we are Muchuu. There are two of us. Milky and George. We are brother and sister and we live in the countryside just outside Hereford.

The name ‘Muchuu’ – pronounced “Moo-chew” – comes from Milky’s love of all things Japanese. It means to be in an ecstatic delirious trance or dream.

We write our own songs, and have been writing and recording music together for about two years. We were bored one day and started messing about with sounds, using objects that we found in our garage, like a box of nails and an old penny whistle, combined with synth sounds, electronic drums and just seeing what happened!

Milky is the lead singer and lyricist. She used to be scared of singing, but gave it a go and now she’s getting used to it! She writes lyrics about dreams, magic and nature, the happy and sad things she sees on her adventures, imagination and escapism. She also loves coming up with melodies and ideas for new songs!

George is the music master of the band. He started playing piano when he was seven and likes keyboards and synths. Milky is amazed by his skills! He makes and mixes all the music on his laptop, sings harmonies and writes melodies.
